How do I enter Kanji into the search box?
Search with Kanji

If you have a Windows Operating System(i.e. Vista, XP, 2000..etc) then check out this guide by Declan which explains the process of supporting Japanese on your computer.
If you have Linux then you can install SCIM-anthy for Japanese support. Check this page for a guide.
Alternatively you can simply copy the kanji from some other source and paste it into the search box.

How do I search for both artists and songs at the same time?
Searching for an artist will show the songs from the artists. But if you don't know what you are searching for then you will need to search for both.
In order to provide more accurate results, (and make it easier on me) you cannot search for both at the same time. Please do a search for one then try again with the other.

What if I do not get the results I expect?
The primary reason may simply be that the information is not in the database yet.  Information is being entered constantly but it is still a relatively new database and will take a while to properly populate. Otherwise you may want to check spelling and check possible alternative spellings for the artist or song title. If on the other hand you notice an error in the database, please fill out this short form in order to correct the data. Any help will be appreciated.

Not all of an Artist's songs are listed? Should I add them?
The main purpose of this database is to help in transliteration of Kanji to Romaji. Not as a discography. Therefore if a song title is already in Romaji there is no need to have it in the database.

How Can I Contribute?
Jpop Avenue is grateful to anyone who wishes to help. The database is not publically accessible, you will need to become a Database Contributor when that position becomes available. However, for now You can fill out this short form to request that data be entered.  Domou Arigatou Goziamasu
